Reisberg & Associates, LLC has been collaborating with governments, international agencies, non-profits, professional associations, and universities to improve the quality and relevance of higher education since 2007.  We have worked on several continents, but specialize in Latin America where we work in both English and Spanish.

Liz Reisberg

Liz Reisberg is a higher education consultant with more than three decades of experience working with universities, ministries of education, non-governmental organizations, and international agencies around the world. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for International Higher Education (CIHE) at Boston College. Her professional career has focused on different aspects of higher education, particularly in guiding universities towards innovation focusing on quality assessment, internationalization, teaching, and learning.  She gives presentations and leads workshops, mainly in Latin America, in both Spanish and English. In 2007 she graduated with a PhD from CIHE at Boston College, where she continues to collaborate in research activities and develops comparative global studies. Her most recent collaboration was a book on corruption in higher education around the world published in 2020. 

Liz Reisberg es consultora en educación superior con más de tres décadas de experiencia trabajando con universidades, ministerios de educación, Organizaciones no Gubernamentales, y agencias internacionales de todo el mundo. También es miembra del Consejo Asesor del Centro para la Educación Superior Internacional (CIHE) de Boston College. Su carrera profesional se ha centrado en distintos aspectos de la educación superior, particularmente en impulsar el avance de las universidades enfocándose en la evaluación de la calidad, la internacionalización, la mejora de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje. Imparte conferencias y talleres, principalmente en América Latina en español e inglés. En el 2007 obtuvo un doctorado del CIHE de Boston College, donde sigue colaborando en actividades de investigación y elaboración de estudios globales comparados. Su más reciente colaboración fue un libro sobre la corrupción en la educación superior por todo el mundo publicado en el 2020.

Philip G. Altbach

Philip Altbach is research professor and the founding director of the Center for International Higher Education at Boston College. He has held appointments at Harvard University, the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and the State University of New York at Buffalo and has been a visiting scholar at Stanford University and the University of California at Berkeley. Philip Altbach is internationally known for his extensive contributions to the scholarship of international higher education; he has written or edited more than 50 books. He is the editor of International Higher Education

Jamil Salmi

Jamil Salmi is an international expert in the reform of higher education who currently works as an independent consultant to governments and universities, after having completed many years as the Coordinator of Tertiary Education for the World Bank. He is the principal author of multiple publications, among them the influential, The Challenge of Establishing World-Class Universities, that has been published in five languages. Dr. Salmi is a member of international advisory boards at universities in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. He has provided technical support to universities in more than 90 countries.

Andrés Bernasconi Ramirez

Andrés Bernasconi Ramirez is president of the Commisión Nacional de Acreditación in Chile and a full professor at the Universidad Católica de Chile. He has been a research associate at the Graduate School of Education at Harvard University, Vicerrector Académico y Vicerrector de Investigación y Postgrado at the Universidad Andrés Bello, and Dean of the Facultad de Ciencias Jurídicas at the Universidad de Talca. He has provided technical support in the areas of policy and the management of higher education in 12 countries in Latin America, Europe, and Asia for the InterAmerican Development Bank, UNESCO, the World Bank and USAID, and the European Commission.

Marcelo Knobel

Marcelo Knobel was reitor of the Universidad de Campinas (Unicamp) from 2017-2021 where he is also a professor in the Instituto de Física Gleb Wataghin and the Department of Physics. His research area is nano-structured magnetic materials. He served as Dean of Undergraduate Programs at Unicamp from 2009-2013. During his tenure he designed and implemented an innovative program to improve access for students from under-represented sectors of the greater Campinas region. “The Programa Interdisciplinario de Educación Superior (ProFIS)” provided a strategy for improving social inclusion with a solid general education to ensure success in Unicamp’s demanding degree programs. Dr. Knobel is a member of the National Commission for the Evaluation of Higher Education (CONAES) in Brasil.
